Building on the success of our latest range of Carve sails, the design aim of the Carve 2.0 was to push the performance of these medium aspect sails even further. Our team's riders wanted more glide, more speed and less drag, all while increasing handling and maintaining our signature high-speed control. We decided to start from a blank page and changed virtually all the design parameters of the wing: higher aspect ratio, new profile and curvature, new profiles and twist along the wing. Not only that, but each individual dimension has been independently adjusted to best suit its intended use. The larger 1430, for example, has the lowest aspect ratio and thinnest profile, to maximize maneuverability and reduce drag, on the opposite side, our 850 with the highest aspect ratio and thickest profile, to improve lift and delay stall on such a small wing frame. The Carve 2.0 is the sail to choose if you want to tackle "real waves". What it sacrifices in planing compared to the Free or Glide, it makes up for with a higher top speed and greater maneuverability on the face of the wave. The Carve 2.0 is also the favorite choice of our freestyle team competing on the world tour. These wings allow them to charge up for jumps with greater speed, which results in a more explosive pop. The medium stretch also means that hard landings are much less stressful on the rest of their gear. This same medium aspect ratio is also what makes the Carve 2.0 wings a great choice for Kite Foiling . Riders can lean into the mast more aggressively without their wing tips coming out of the water.
